John Romeo is a native Philadelphian and award-winning photographer with 24 years of experience in commercial advertising and editorial photography. His work has been featured in national ad campaigns and editorial accounts that have afforded him the opportunity to work in various locations throughout the world. But, it's New York and Philadelphia where he prefers to play and to host the majority of his clients. John currently makes his home in New Jersey, Though presented with many opportunities to relocate, John maintains a full-time studio in the heart of Philadelphia's colorful Italian market, which he has for the last 20 years. In addition to being dedicated to his art, John relishes spending time with his family, and his sons Dominic and Christian and occasionally enjoys an illegal cigar. John's work has run the gamet through the years, and he was one of the first to make the transition from film to digital in the late 90's. This type of forward thinking can also be said of his recent jump into video and motion photography. John made his bones in the retail catalog Industry early in his career based on his lighting techniques, ability to construct intricate sets, and his attention to detail. Over the years, his portfolio has shown John's willingness to shoot everything for any type of clients in food, fashion, lifestyle and commercial work; or as John would say "all your needs, wants, pleasures and desires". Over the last decade, John's personal passions have become more prominent in his work and he has seen his client base shift heavily into the food and beverage industry, as John has become more inclined to shoot Food and Drink than any other medium. For John, photography is an art up until the moment I capture the image. From that point on, its science: a perfect blend of expression and technique. His goal is to realize the purpose of the shot and then bring something more to it. He is committed to making the entire process from our initial discussion to delivery of the final product--not only successful, but enjoyable.
